Ontario\u2019s Liberals unveil an election platform and plan to fix Ontario\u2019s education system, end the use of portable classrooms and provide school lunches for all students<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n February 21, 2025<\/b><\/p>\n TORONTO, ON \u2013 Today, Ontario Liberal Leader, Bonnie Crombie, released her election platform,\u00a0<\/span>Getting the Basics Right: A Plan to do More for You<\/i><\/b>. The plan outlines bold steps to improve Ontario\u2019s education system by investing in students, supporting educators, and preparing kids for the future.<\/span><\/p>\n Crombie released her costed platform today, including real solutions to Doug Ford\u2019s chronic underfunding of our education system.\u00a0<\/span>The platform includes no tax increases and no new taxes, and it costs far less than Doug Ford\u2019s fantasy tunnel project.<\/b><\/p>\n \u201cWe are going to get the basics right for our students and teachers and get back to the basics in the classroom. But we also know that kids can\u2019t learn if they\u2019re going to class hungry, and so many families are struggling to afford the basics right now, including school lunches,\u201d Crombie said. \u201cSo we are going to make sure no kid in Ontario goes to class hungry by providing a healthy lunch for all.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n Ontario\u2019s Liberals will deliver the education system our children deserve.
